Target group
The course is addressed to persons who need to install or have to solve defects/faults in the installation of the SIMATIC S7 PLC’s using TIA Portal software. For example: programmers, commissioning engineers, configuring engineers, service personnel, maintenance personnel.
Required knowledge
TIAP BASIC module or a similar level of knowledge and experience.
Goal
After completing this module, the participant is able to:
- perform the mechanical and electrical assembly of the SIMATIC S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300, S7-400, ET200.PLCs.
- set up a PROFIBUS DP network and to connect Master and Slave components.
- set up a PROFINET network.
- interpret the operation of the error lights.
- test the hardware configuration.
- access the input/output cards using the STEP7 TIA Portal software.
- perform structured reception of a complete program, recognize and solve hardware and software errors on SIMATIC S7 PLCs with TIA Portal.
